Brett is our candidate for Taylor.
He is a printer machinist by trade and has worked in the printing industry for over 20 years. He is currently employed as a computer CAD programmer and also holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Brett is married with two adult sons.
He served six years on the committee in various roles for the Ducati Owners Club of South Australia.
In 2003 he was involved in an industrial accident which resulted in a back injury. He underwent surgery in 2004 and has lived with constant pain for 22 years.
Over the years he has been prescribed many different prescription painkillers, none of which worked very well and all of which had unpleasant side effects. He now relies on cannabis and says that without a doubt it has been effective and well suited to long term use.
Brett feels very strongly about cannabis law reform and wants to do what he can to help make changes to unfair laws, especially regarding testing of motorists for the presence of residual cannabinoids in saliva rather than for impairment.
He is also a passionate supporter of expanding the hemp industry in South Australia, with a strong interest in renewable resources such as hemp based plastics and hemp paper.
