Martin Godfrey is our candidate for Mount Gambier.
Martin, known to many as Marty, is a full time carer for his mother. He has previously worked in both the construction and funeral industries, bringing practical experience and a strong work ethic to everything he does.
In his spare time, Marty runs the Meat Pie Appreciation Group on Facebook and YouTube, building a community around one of Australia’s favourite traditions.
He is a long time volunteer for the Legalise Cannabis South Australia Party and is passionate about sensible cannabis law reform.
Martin is standing to give voters in Mount Gambier the opportunity to have their say on fair and evidence based cannabis laws, including ending discrimination against prescribed medicinal cannabis patients who are not impaired and are following their doctor’s instructions.
He also supports the development of a thriving hemp industry in South Australia to create jobs, strengthen regional communities and boost tourism.
