Nicole Lornie is our candidate for Narungga.
Nicole is standing to give voters in Narungga the opportunity to have their say on sensible cannabis law reform.
She supports the Legalise Cannabis South Australia Party’s proposed Cannabis Amnesty, which would end penalties for adults who use, possess or grow small amounts of cannabis for personal or medicinal use. The policy would allow patients who cannot afford prescription medicinal cannabis to grow their own supply and would stop South Australians being fined or criminalised for low level cannabis offences.
Nicole also wants to see changes to South Australia’s drug driving and workplace laws so that medicinal cannabis patients are not penalised simply for the presence of cannabis when they are not impaired and are following their doctor’s instructions.
She believes South Australia has the opportunity to lead the way in developing a thriving hemp industry that can create jobs, support regional communities and open new opportunities in sustainable agriculture and manufacturing.
Nicole believes these reforms would deliver fairer laws, reduce stigma and provide practical economic opportunities for South Australia.
Photo withheld at the candidate’s request due to the ongoing stigma surrounding cannabis law reform. Ending this stigma is part of why we are standing candidates.
